Quarter pounder life crisis...
Growing up with two really talented artists as parents without a lot of work, or at least not in the best suited field for their art. I grew up loving art but believing it could not be a successful career, I used art as just a stress relieving hobby. I realized while going to school at the University of Oregon for Spanish and education that when it came down to studying for exams that instead of lecture notes my notebook was filled with logo designs and doodles. At that point I decided I had to follow my doodling hand and change my area of study. So I packed up my two year from Eugene and moved back to Portland. I was so close to my Spanish major I decided to explore options of combining graphic design and spanish, creating a hybrid major. I recently finished a 6 month exchange in Peru studying graphic design and art at the Universidad Catolica in Lima, and hope to return to living out of the country practicing international graphic design....Kind of like tearing down hideous wallpaper...if you don't like that salmon colored wallpaper you can always take it down..
